Hi Mike - First and foremost, thanks for being such a great person to interact with for all the years that I've been dabbling with Hawaiian magmatism. I have really appreciated our interactions at AGU and your thoughtful and thorough reviews on my papers. At AGU, it's always such a pleasure to see you and to trade ideas and hear about the neat things you and your students are up to. I hope you continue to attend AGU - my my bet is that you will have a very active and productive retirement. I do have a question: to address controversies #4 and 5 (are plumes sourced at the CMB and the role of recycled materials), what do you think are the key measurements that we need to make? (If you had, say, a final NSF grant of $10,000,000 how would you spend it?). Take care. -Keith
