Dear Frances Many thanks for reporting on the formation of Fe-colloids in the drainage water of mines. As you showed, forming of Fe precipitates is major control of As immobilization as it has also been shown in groundwater systems being subject of geogenic As contamination. Can you comment if Fe-colloids and their transport might also modulate the As dynamics in affected groundwater systems? All the best - Rolf Kipfer (RoKi)
