Hi Isabel, This is a great addition to your earlier work on Penn-Permian CO2. Question: There was substantial orogenic activity (Marathon region) in southwestern North America during the Early Permian (Wolfcampian). Could orogenic activity in a geologically young region account for observations of reduced CO2 in combination with decreasing 87Sr/86Sr as seen in the Early Permian (i.e., instead of LIP magmatism)?
