Dear Valentin, thanks for this nice presentation and your very thorough field and lab work. I wonder if your results (and also other peoples data) imply that in situ Ar age data might be generally misleading as the behaviour of Ar on the micro-scale is not fully understood? Have you got any Ar age profiles through a larger mica grain? Possibly in different crystallographic directions? Another question is whether you have got an idea by which rexx mechanism the mica in the shear band equilibrated?
