Thank you for the interesting talk. I have a somewhat dumb question but how much more REEs are in the fish debris at these sites compared to normal fish bones etc.? and what process enriches them?
Thank you for your question. In general, the REEs concentration in fish debris itself varies from several thousands to 20,000 ppm in marine sediments. Its not true that fish debris at these sites were especially enriched in REEs, so the REEs content in bulk sediment was controlled by how much the fish debris was contained in the sediment rather than how much REEs were in the fish debris.
