I would be very interested in learning more about this project. Part of my dissertation project has dealt with the development of Martian regolith and bedrock simulants. I am also interested in earth based analogues and studies seeking to understand aqueous alteration and weathering on Mars, especially with those materials that are x-ray amorphous or highly disordered and what we can learn about the formation of these phases in terrestrial environments with implications for Mars. A library that catalogs these materials and the analysis and data available would be very useful and I would love to hear more about it.
