Instead, Goldschmidt2020 will become the first virtual edition of the conference.
All those who have already registered for the standard meeting will be automatically registered for the virtual experience. Delegates have been contacted directly with regards to reimbursement aligned with the new, reduced pricing structure. Social event, workshop, field trip, childcare and lunch box fees will be refunded automatically.

Code of Conduct
In order to promote a collaborative and respectful environment for all Goldschmidt attendees, the Geochemical Society and the European Association of Geochemistry have adopted a Code of Conduct for the conference. Delegates will be asked to confirm they agree to abide by it as a condition of registration. In particular please note copying or using content in any presentation or abstract without the permission of the presenting author violates the Code of Conduct and is expressly forbidden.
Letter of Invitation to Participate in the Conference
A letter of invitation is issued solely for the purpose of assisting participants with obtaining funding or permissions for their participation in the conference. If you require a letter of invitation, please register and pay for the conference, then go to my Goldschmidt / my invitations to apply for an invitation letter. For more details please see here
Off-setting Your Participation
Even with no flights and hotel stays a virtual conference will cause the release of some carbon. Delegates can take up the option to purchase the planting of a native tree on the Hawaiian Islands to support reforestation efforts as part of the registration package. Delegates can also fund the planting of a tree independently via the convention centre site. Other options for offsetting can be found on our Carbon Footprint page.
Workshops
For a full list of virtual workshops running before and after the conference please go to the workshops page.
