Registration Terms and Procedures

Payment: Payment is accepted by online credit/debit card or by bank transfer only. If you pay by bank transfer you MUST pay all the fees, otherwise your registration can not be accepted. Bank transfers may not be used for payment for on site registration.

Early registration rates: Payment in full must be received by the early deadline April 21st in order to benefit from the reduced registration rates. Delegates with registration payments outstanding on this date will then need to pay the standard registration fee. The standard registration process will be available until May 21st 2020, after which delegates will have to register at the on site rate (which is higher and registration materials will not be ready for collection on arrival).

Confirmation: Your registration and payment will be confirmed by email. Your registration will not be processed or confirmed until payment has been received. Once you have completed your registration and payment, you will receive confirmation via email. This confirmation will include your registration receipt.

Code of Conduct

In order to promote a collaborative and respectful environment for all Goldschmidt attendees, the Geochemical Society and the European Association of Geochemistry have adopted a code of conduct for the conference. Delegates are encouraged to read it before registering.

Letter of Invitation to Attend the Conference

A letter of invitation is issued solely for the purpose of assisting participants with visa applications and/or to obtain funding for their attendance at the conference. If you require a letter of invitation, please register and pay for the conference, then go to my Goldschmidt / my invitations to apply for an invitation letter. For more details please seehere

Lunch Bag

Lunch

Lunch bags can be purchased in advance of the conference, the contents will be as pictured here with daily variations. Lunch bags are offered because some delegates find this to be convenient when circumstances mean they cannot easily leave the convention centre. For those with greater flexibility or for whom budget is a greater concern the nearby lunch options at the Ala Moana mall offer excellent value and broad choice. The lunch bags will not be available to buy at the conference and and cannot be purchased online after 21st May 2020.

Grants

The conference offers travel grants to selected students and early career researchers attending from low-income countries and has funding for some Early Career Scientists based in the USA.

Off-setting Your Attendance

Delegates can take up the option to purchase the planting of a native tree on the Hawaiian Islands to support reforestation efforts as part of the registration package. Delegates can also fund the planting of a tree independently via the convention centre site. Other options for offsetting can be found on our Carbon Footprint page.
