Have you done XRD on the altered Hyaloclastite, are the altered products mostly smectite? Or just on the suspended sediments? What are the secondary minerals you’ll measure for d44/40Ca? Any estimates on the portion of the catchments that are altered versus unaltered? Do you see anything systematic in isotope versus ratio space (i.e. higher d44/40Ca for more alteration)?

Very interesting presentation! Do you also see the possibility of secondary Calcite being transported by rivers in particulate form? And do you plan to quantify this for your catchments in Iceland?
