Hi Mark, Thanks for your presentation it was very interesting, especially the links between the modelling and microbes at B15. You kind of touched on it at the end but I was wondering if this was attempted at the other sites yet they did not reveal such concordant results or no microbial work was done at other sites? Thanks, Tess

Thanks for your question. These results are currently being worked up but we tend to find an overall deeper redox transition in the sediments further north, although the sulfate reducers can drop off with methanogens becoming more important in some cases. The overall deeper transition further north is consistent with carbon burial results which suggest higher carbon accumulation or preservation in the most northerly stations.
