Angelo (Achillle) Minissale was born in Florence (Italy) in December 1954. He graduated in Geology at the University of Florence in 1979. From 1981 to 1984 worked in Geothermics for the Italian Electricity Agency in Pisa (Italy). Since 1985 he has been a research scientist in Geochemistry for the Italian National Research Council (C.N.R.) at the Department of Earth Science, University of Florence. Since December 2001 has served as Head of the (C.N.R.) Institute for Geosciences and Earth Resources division at the University of Florence. His main field of interest is the geochemistry of fluids circulating at shallow depth in the crust.
